INTRODUCTION
We are continuing in the Sharing The Faith Series with a testimony about sharing in a food court with a young lady who was in need of hearing about God.
SHARING THE FAITH PART II - GOT YOUR BACK
Over ten years ago, I worked in a mall at a bookstore as the assistant manager. One day while I was working, a friend, Laura, from the community college I had been going to stopped by. She asked if I had taken my lunch yet and was wondering if we could go to lunch together. I agreed and we headed to the food court.
The beginning of the lunch was straight forward with us eating and then things changed when she asked me questions about God. Her questions were tough, but I found an inner voice that had the answers that she needed. It was really strange for me because I had not been a Christian long and had not really understood the concept of God and the Holy Spirit working through me. However, this inner voice, which I now recognize was God, had all the right answers. So, I trusted it and gave those answers to Laura.
Now, we were sitting in the middle of a large food court in the mall as we talked. Behind Laura, I noticed an gentleman who was probably in his late fifties or early sixties. He had his head cocked to one side and seemed to be listening intently to our conversation. To be honest, it made me a bit more nervous because now I had two people listening to my answers. Two people who could be mislead if I was wrong. But I pressed into the inner voice that had the answers that I knew were right.
Laura and I finished our lunch and returned to the bookstore. She had a lot to think about due to the nature of her questions and the conviction of the Holy Spirit. We remained friends for several years after that and only because of moving, both her and us, did we lose contact (this was back before email was really big). I do hope an pray that she has come to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ.
An interesting thing happened after Laura left the store. The elder gentleman who was listening intently entered the store and walked up to me. I was not sure what to expect, but was ready in case there were more questions. However, there was a peace that flooded over me as he began to speak to me. He told me that he had been a Christian for years and that God had informed him that I was new at sharing my faith. Furthermore, that God had placed him there just in case I did not listen to that inner voice and didn’t have an answer that was so needed by Laura. He told me that “He had my back and that God’s will always “Got Your Back” whenever you stepped out and shared your faith with someone.” That statement has remained with me even today as I step out and share my faith under the prompting of the Holy Spirit.
SCRIPTURE
7 For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.
4 Behold, God is mine helper: the Lord is with them that uphold my soul.
God has promised to always be with us, to never leave nor forsake us as well as be a help and an ever present aid in our time of need. And this is why God tells us not to fear because what is there to fear when God is at your side.
CONCLUSION
When God prompts you to Share The Faith, he always backs you up and is there to help you in any way that you may need. I encourage you to Share The Faith when God leads you to.

That was such a great story! It was kinda cool to have the summary in the blog to read as I listened to the podcast.
JH,
I have not listened to the pod cast which are down loading as I read this. You are so right on God having our backs, He is always with us! We do not know who will hear or see us in our dayily walk with the Lord, so it is important to always be walking the walk and not just taking the talk, as we know not know the seeds we sow! God Bless!
