Update: You can watch the video blog at: http://www.godtube.com/JesusGeek
23:52 I added the image to the left. It’s the only decent one that came out. For some reason nearly all of my photos were out of focus. I’ll post videos of the even here tomorrow.
22:50 Some clouds rolled in and obscured msome mof the viewing. My fingers are frozen again. Unless something significant happens, this will be the end of my report as the moon is starting to brighten again. Totality ends at 23:01.
22:35 It is n ow the darkest time of the eclipse. I can now see stars near the edge of the moon. Hopefully I’ll be able to see an occulation.
22:29 Almost at the darkest point in the eclipse. This is awesome! I went inside for a few minutes and defrosted my fingers.
22:15 Skies cleared briefly. the moon is very dark. Abesoluitely lovely. My fingers are frozen!
22:05 Now at totality. Stupid clouds showed up!
21:48 Near totality. Man is it cold! I think it’s in the single digits.
21:33 A patch of clouds hjave rolled in. Go away! They shouldn’t be here too long. Another benefit is the chnage to see Saturn at near elongation under the dim light of the moon. Very nice.
21:25 Already starting to see stars that normally would not be visible during a full moon. Glorious!
21:17 Half way into the umbra and already seeing some very deep reds. This one is going to beautiful!
21:06 If the skies are cloudy, you can watch the eclipse over at www.ustream.tv
21:00 Starting a little early. I can already see the moon turning red along the edges.
Starting at 22:15 EST, I will be live blogging the total lunar eclipse. I will include photos to go along with this event. Hopefully the clouds will stay out of the way! Watch this spot later tonight for photos and video of the eclipse!
