MC #63 120 Years!

“120 YEARS”
On Friday Ruth Ann talked of the finality of death how as Christians we do not have to worry! Brad and Chaz then talked of death of and animal vs a human! Brad and Chaz then talked of how life could be changed if we knew when death would come or what we would do if we lived as long as those of the Old Testament!

God decided to destroy mankind He also told that mankind would no longer have a long life as we read in Genesis 6:1 -3 When men began to increase in number on the earth and daughters were born to them, 2 the sons of God saw that the daughters of men were beautiful, and they married any of them they chose. 3 Then the LORD said, “My Spirit will not contend with man forever, for he is mortal; his days will be a hundred and twenty years.”

So here God tells us we will be 120 years on this earth! I just what to take little rabbit trail here! God has reached the end of His rope with mankind, and has decided to remove all things from the earth with a flood. God found one man to start the world over his name was Noah, who with his family God would save!

Just as we are told in - Matthew 24:36 - 39″No one knows about that day or hour, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father. 37 As it was in the days of Noah, so it will be at the coming of the Son of Man. 38 For in the days before the flood, people were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, up to the day Noah entered the ark; 39 and they knew nothing about what would happen until the flood came and took them all away. That is how it will be at the coming of the Son of Man.

No one knows the day we will be called to death! Are you walking with God so physical death on earth is not the end, but the beginning!.

MC #62 REMEMBER 9/11/2001

“REMEMBER 9/11/2001”
The September 11, 2001 attacks consisted of a series of coordinated terrorist suicide attacks by Islamic extremists on that date upon the United States of America.

That morning nineteen terrorists affiliated with al-Qaeda hijacked four commercial passenger jet airliners. Each team of hijackers included a trained pilot. The hijackers intentionally crashed two of the airliners (United Airlines Flight 175 and American Airlines Flight 11) into the World Trade Center in New York City, one plane into each tower, resulting in the collapse of both buildings soon afterward and irreparable damage to nearby buildings. The hijackers crashed a third airliner (American Airlines Flight 77) into the Pentagon in Arlington County, Virginia, near Washington, D.C. Passengers and members of the flight crew on the fourth aircraft (United Airlines Flight 93) attempted to retake control of their plane from the hijackers; that plane crashed into a field near the town of Shanksville in rural Somerset County, Pennsylvania. In addition to the 19 hijackers, 2,974 people died as an immediate result of the attacks, and the death of at least one person from lung disease was ruled by a medical examiner to be a result of exposure to WTC dust. Another 24 people are missing and presumed dead. The victims were predominantly civilians.

8:20 AM (approx.): Air traffic controllers suspect Flight 11 has been hijacked.

8:46 AM: Flight 11 crashes into the WTC (World Trade Center) north tower.

9:03 AM: Flight 175 crashes into the south WTC tower.

9:38 AM: Flight 77 crashes into the Pentagon.

9:59 AM: The south tower of the World Trade Center collapses.

10:10 AM: Flight 93 crashes in Pennsylvania.

10:28 AM: The World Trade Center north tower collapses.

5:20 PM: Building 7 of the World Trade Center collapses

MC #61 SOWER OF SEEDS!

“SOWER OF SEEDS”
I have never had anyone I was working with to accept the Lord as Savoir!

In the 13th Chapter of Matthew we read of Jesus telling the parable of the sower. This to me has always meant that I may never know what seed I have planted. What reaping will come from what I have planted?

I know now that I must be ever vigilant in what I say, and do! As a Christian I must not only talk the talk but walk the walk. Being human and not perfect I fail in this many times in a week! The one great thing about keeping involved in fellowship with other Christian is that I do a better job of walking as I should!

Have I planted a seed that will reap the salvation of one or many I do not know! I do know that my own walk is strengthen by “walking the walk and talking the talk”, when I fail my Lord and Savoir will be there to pick me up and carry me.

MC #60 FAMILY CAMP!

Sherry and I ramble about Family Camp!

But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin.- 1 John 1:7

This was the 10 year that we as a Church Body got together for a retreat for the whole family. This was Sherry and my third time and the second time we took the grand kids!

I ramble on Prayer & Faith in todays podcast!

Mark1:41 And Jesus, moved with compassion, put forth his hand, and touched him, and saith unto him, I will; be thou clean. What does this mean to us – “be thou clean” We read of the many times that Jesus performed the miracle of healing! Healing and Faith go hand in hand. We as Christian know that Jesus healed all that came to Him and had faith!

The KJV tells us in Hebrews 11:1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. I like the way the Message put it also - The fundamental fact of existence is that this trust in God, this faith, is the firm foundation under everything that makes life worth living. It’s our handle on what we can’t see.

MC #58 SEED’S WE PLANT!

“Seed’s we plant!”
We read in Matthew 9:35 – 38 - Jesus went through all the towns and villages, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the good news of the kingdom and healing every disease and sickness. 36 When he saw the crowds, he had compassion on them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd. 37 Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. 38 Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.”

I guess my point is we all can not be Billy Gram, but we can do our part in small ways! Sherry and I help out with the youth of our church, this is a small way in which we share the good news of Jesus. The one draw back is that we have a captive audience! Most of the young people we work with come from Christian home so we are not really reaching out to our community!

Luke 8:5 - 8 A sower went out to sow his seed: and as he sowed, some fell by the way side; and it was trodden down, and the fowls of the air devoured it. 6 And some fell upon a rock; and as soon as it was sprung up, it withered away, because it lacked moisture. 7 And some fell among thorns; and the thorns sprang up with it, and choked it. 8 And other fell on good ground, and sprang up, and bare fruit an hundredfold. And when he had said these things, he cried, He that hath ears to hear, let him hear.

Join with me in being a sower, and who knows the seed you plant may be the one that bares fruit a hundredfold!

Also please keep me in your prayer as I with my lovely wife Sherry prepare to work the fields of harvest in our church. Saturday we will be having training for leaders of the up coming church wide small group’s bible study.

“SUMMER COMEING TO AN END!”
Have you ever felt called to serve the Lord as a teacher or helper?

Psalms 89:1 (A special psalm by Ethan the Ezrahite.) Our LORD, I will sing of your love forever. Everyone yet to be born will hear me praise your faithfulness. 2 I will tell them, “God’s love can always be trusted, and his faithfulness lasts as long as the heavens.”

The Psalmist tell us in Psalms 78:1 My friends, I beg you to listen as I teach. 2 I will give instruction and explain the mystery of what happened long ago. 3 These are things we learned from our ancestors, 4 and we will tell them to the next generation. We won’t keep secret the glorious deeds and the mighty miracles of the LORD. 5 God gave his Law to Jacob’s descendants, the people of Israel. And he told our ancestors to teach their children, 6 so that each new generation would know his Law and tell it to the next.
Webster defines TE’ACHER, n. One who teaches or instructs.

MC #55 SIX THINGS GOD HATES

“SIX THINGS GOD HATES”

I’m back! I was given my mother old Bible, she had given it to a cousin back in the 1950’s and he found it while doing a bit of house cleaning! When I was looking through it I found mom had under line Provebs 6:16 – 22

PR 6:16 There are six things the LORD hates, seven that are detestable to him: 17 haughty eyes, a lying tongue, hands that shed innocent blood,18 a heart that devises wicked schemes, feet that are quick to rush into evil,19 a false witness who pours out lies and a man who stirs up dissension among brothers.20 My son, keep your father’s commands and do not forsake your mother’s teaching.21 Bind them upon your heart forever; fasten them around your neck. 22 When you walk, they will guide you; when you sleep, they will watch over you; when you awake, they will speak to you.
