Are You A Hot Rod
Do you consider yourself a Hot Rod? I don’t mean the flashy sports car with the great stereo that gets 8 miles to the gallon. I mean the person who continually finds themselves face down in the dirt.
There are times when we all feel like that, but fortunately this feeling passes for most of us and we get up, dust ourselves off, and go on about our business. But if you feel like you are continually picking yourself up off the ground, then consider this. God does in fact love you even if you are face down in the dirt. The events that happen to us and how we handle them are what shape who we are and what we are becoming. God doesn’t make accidents. He didn’t create you to fail. He wants you to succeed and he wants you to help others succeed.
So, when you feel like events are conspiring against you just remember that there are all levels of difficulty in this world and you situation is temporary. God has a plan for you and a place in his house. He wants to spend eternity with you as one of his children. So today, make the choice to see things from God’s perspective and not your own. He is pulling for you and so am I.
John 3:16 (The Message)
This is how much God loved the world: He gave his Son, his one and only Son. And this is why: so that no one need be destroyed; by believing in him, anyone can have a whole and lasting life. God didn’t go to all the trouble of sending his Son merely to point an accusing finger, telling the world how bad it was. He came to help, to put the world right again. Anyone who trusts in him is acquitted; anyone who refuses to trust him has long since been under the death sentence without knowing it. And why? Because of that person’s failure to believe in the one-of-a-kind Son of God when introduced to him.

Thanks for the encouraging words, Chaz
