I like that you point out that gifts are not always genetic. I never thought of a gift being a circumstance but that is so true.

I also like the analogy of the red wood. The snowball effect is quite amazing. Maybe if we would remember during our times of doubt and despair that there truly are giant red woods within us maybe we would take a tiny step and plant a seed. We truly are valuable in God's eyes even if we can't see it in ourselves. God called Abraham a father of nations long before he had any children. Wow, that thought just gave me goose bumps.

Well said! This was and is one of the hardest thing for me to do! God will answer our prayers, in one of three ways: Yes - No - wait and see. We humans do not like the No and wait and see, we want it our way which is not always Gods way!

I agree. It is absolutely the most wonderful thing in the world to be able to share ones blessings with others. You have exactly the right attitude. 4j7hy

Its important that we are open to seeing what God is doing and join Him in His work :) I think its great that you are sensitive to the needs of others, and I know they have been blessed. Its a great way to share the love of Christ :)

James 1:2-8 is my favorite passage for these times of stress. It reminds me that my job is to stick close to God and not wonder what is around the corner. It is interesting how we can let ourselves get out of whack if we take our eyes off of Jesus. I have done this many times and I always feel a little foolish when the world finally comes back into focus and I realize it was all under control the whole time, even if I did not have a copy of the map.

Love the blog,

Jazzy Chaz
