Today we talk about the passing of Brad’s uncle and how the Christian view of death is so much different than what the world tells us about existence and death.

Just want to say, you have a funny podcast. The Christian view on death is very similiar but also very different than the Islamic view. I’m Muslim, and the way I understand death is the end of “The Ultimate Test”. In other words this whole entire life of ours, is a test. We are tested from the Devil and our desires. If we completely submit to God, and do rightoes deeds and forbid the evil and follow the final Messenger of God (peace be upon him), then we’ll pass the test and entire Heaven.

From what I understand, Christians technically don’t really have to work hard, becuase “Jesus died for your sins”. I always find that hard to understand. Basicall Christians can do whatever they want. They can sin, because at the end of the day, Jesus died for there sins.

This would be kind of a cheap way or cheating on the test of life. Anyways, I respect the belief.

May God guide us all. God knows best.

Peace

MR, Thank you for the comments. Your kind words are appreciated. To help me wrap my mind around the grace of God, I think of it like this; God is the ultimate good and we can never “pass the test” because we can never be as good as he is. That is why we need a substitute to bridge the gap between us and God. Jesus gave all he had for us even though we did not deserve it. The only person/being who would offer this sort of sacrifice is God himself and that is why we see Jesus as the Son of God. Jesus was God and man in one. It is faith in Jesus and the grace of God that provides eternal salvation to us. We can never work hard enough or long enough to get there on our own. I know that it is hard to see Christians continuing to sin, but it is that very thing that shows us that we could never be good enough to stand in the presence of an almighty God without the sacrifice and atonement of Jesus. We can only look to our own actions and know that some day God will judge us for what we have done . But is faith that saves us and spares us from the punishment we so rightly deserve. Thank you again for commenting and listening to the show.

God bless,

Chaz
