Hero Bracket News: Jane is going public with her dissatisfaction. She says that the training regiment by Howard Duck is far to structured for a wild man. She and Mr. Duck have clashed on training styles since his arrival and HBN is being told by inside sources (chimp) that Howard is forcing Jane out of the training room for the good. More as it happens right here!

Mine's done
James 1:27:
Pure and genuine religion in the sight of God the Father means caring for orphans and widows in their distress and refusing to let the world corrupt you.

Hero Bracket News Reports: It has been reported that Dirty Harry and Blondie, The Man with No Name have both went in to recreation center and sat at opposite ends of the bar. They have been there since 9 oclock last night. Staring at each other. Neither will blink and there is a good chance if nothing can be done that they will go blind before there match next week.

Total hijack, but I'll be brief... Angel Food Ministries is AWESOME!!! I keep wanting to start one up here in Visalia. Is anyone involved in it that I know and could talk to about it? I didn't want corporate answers but real life ones.

Also, I finished my bracket choices. I am all about the Tarzan. Oh yeah. 8)

Here is my suggestion - Brad may throw nuts at me later, but its a thought.

Not required, not tracked, no minimum, no maximum
Every person who joins the Heros Brackets is encouraged to put up an 'entry fee' (Not required)
It will not be tracked in anyway as to who does this, or who doesnt. No amount too small ($1, 5$, $10....??) (No minimum)
No amount too big ($100, $1000, $10,000....???) (No amount to big!)
Several ways to donate.

What do YOU get out of this??

1) Have you seen how much creativity brad has put into this thing? Thats gotta be worth something!
2) The Lord blesses those who bless His people. (And blessing from God cannot be tested for so no bounce for performance enhancing!!)
3) Warm glow, self satisfaction, etc...

And some of our friends will have a little relief and a little less worry about where their next meal is coming from.

So there ya go. Hurry and put in your (optional) entry fee today!!

BTW - Brad DID say he was matching so your donation/fee will go even further!!!

2) You're not Him

Hero Bracket News Reports: The Pre Tournament activities continue: Ellen Ripley and Lara Croft are getting along very well. This reporter as learned that Ripley is very comfortable being the eldest of the women and has gone out of her way to make friends with Lara especially. She has even invited Croft and Clarice Starling and Sara Connor to her dorm for a slumber party after workouts yesterday. Rumor has it that Sara snubbed the invitation but that Clarice and Lara accepted where the only fighting that took place was of the pillow variety. Sara was asked about her decision not to attend and her only comment was "I didnt come here to make parasitic friends" and then she showed this reporter her new "No Fate" tattoo.

Hero Bracket News Reports: Aragorn Son of Arathorn this morning challenged Robin Earl of Locksley to shoot an apple off the head of Ian Malcolm at 50 paces with his bow and arrow. The Earl agreed to the challenge much to Ian's dismay. Conan found him hiding in his locker mumbling about trajectories and wind sheer. He was then duct taped to a tree outside the training center and an apple was super glued to the top of his head. Meanwhile Robin and Aragorn got into a lengthy debate about broadswords and rapiers to which they dedicated all their attention for several hours. Turns out that Jason Bourne took a taxi to the edge of town some 4 miles away and then fired a single shot destroying the apple and ruining Ians shorts. Mr. Cogburn cut Ian loose and told him to stop whimpering and be a man. The crowd dispersed and incident was over. Ian was quoted saying "the apple juice was really good for my hair" he went on to announce plans to write a book on the chaotic principles of apple sauce and pork chops.

Oh, you didn't say it was a RANGED challenge! In that case, Robin of Locksley would totally win.

Also, both men would have preferred the "broadsword." No matter what story of Robin you prefer, he was still centuries prior to the popularization of the rapier.
